TRAVEL DIRECTIONS

WAVERTREE ATHLETICS CENTRE, LIVERPOOL

This route is recommended to avoid crossing two lanes of traffic coming off the end of the M62 at Old Swan (Junction 4).

Go west along M62 to Junction 5 (signposted Huyton). Come off and turn left along A5080 (Roby Road, later becoming Bowring Park Road). Just before this rejoins the motorway take the last left turn into Rocky Lane, and follow this until it crosses the A5058 (Queen’s Drive, the Liverpool Ring Road.)

Turn left along Queen’s Drive; at first roundabout (Childwall Fiveways – large pub on left) turn right along B5178 (Childwall Road, which becomes High Street at the end of the dual carriageway). Go straight ahead to next main cross-roads (traffic lights), at which turn left into B5179 (Wellington Road). The entrance to the Athletics Centre is on the left just before the railway bridge.

Alternatively, go to the end of the M62 (Junction 4), go straight ahead to the flyover (crossing two lanes of traffic), turn left on to A5058 and proceed as above.
